Job brief:

The Weather Company (TWC) is seeking an Aviation Meteorologist to join our aviation forecasting section in Seoul, Korea. As an Aviation Meteorologist, you will provide advanced forecasting expertise for TWC's decision support products and services to airline operations control centers and airline airport personnel. This position requires an understanding of airline operations and the air traffic control environment. You will be delivering timely products with the accuracy and quality required to meet and exceed customer expectations. Additionally, you will convey complex concepts and risk assessments to a diverse set of operational users within the airline environment.

  • Use the TWC HoTL tool to monitor forecasts for potential impacts to customer assets involving significant weather events including severe thunderstorms, snow, ice and wind/tropical systems
  • TWC HoTL 도구를 사용하여 뇌우, 눈, 얼음, 태풍을 비롯한 중요한 기상 현상과 관련된 고객 자산에 대한 잠재적 영향에 대한 예측을 모니터링합니다.
  • Provide advanced level aviation forecasts mainly for Terminal Aerodrome Forecast(TAF) but also for the arrival/departure airspace covering the 0-72 hour domain.

  • Evaluate data and then issue written, graphical, and oral aviation forecasts and alerts for use by both dispatchers and pilots.

Within TWC, forecasters work on a flexible shift schedule covering 24 hours, seven days per week. You should be comfortable participating fully in a 24-hour rotating shift pattern.
