Job brief:

The Weather Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Marketer Leader with a strong understanding of API business frameworks and business models, especially in interoperation with SaaS models. This Leader will focus on marketing to both customers directly and via channels including (SIs) System Integrators and (ISVs) Independent Software Vendors. As a Product Marketing Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing distinct GTM strategies for The Weather Company’s flagship Weather Data and AI Intelligence platform - The Weather Engine ™  -  that contribute to the joint growth and success of the partner’s business plan and overall partnership with the customer. 

You will work closely with teams across product, sales, and leadership to drive demand and lead generation for a defined set of SI and ISV partners, as well as direct customers; create sales enablement assets and guides that educate about the capabilities and combined value proposition for target audiences;  build and promote client case studies to provide customers with tangible impact and results; develop and execute marketing campaigns that elevate the partnership through storytelling narratives, promotional videos, thought leadership speaking, event sponsorships, blog/thought leadership content and PR/Comms opportunities. 

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence over the GTM planning and strategy for The Weather Engine. 

The impact you'll make:

  • Lead macro-level positioning in terms of how The Weather Engine ™  is revolutionizing business process optimization, as well as more focused positioning of The Weather Engine ™ product differentiation. Build product GTM plans, competitive analysis, messaging, and value proposition for existing/future enterprise data and insights features -  leveraging a deep understanding of capabilities, partner and customer needs, competitive environment, the SaaS sales cycle, and more complex decision-making process.
  • Develop and execute the strategy to drive awareness and adoption of The Weather Engine ™  inclusive of demand and lead generation, sales enablement assets, thought content, promotional assets, industry event strategy, client case studies, and more. 
  • Guide, enable, and accelerate growth by leveraging the joint business plans to build co-marketing programs and relationships with a defined set of channel partners
  • Be and represent the “voice of the customer/partner” and their challenges/needs to determine features and future iterations of the product. Serve as the Marketing lead for Product focused Steering Committee responsible for setting future agenda and roadmap for The Weather Engine ™ 
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives 

What you've accomplished:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have 8-10+  years of proven experience with SaaS/cloud-based product marketing
  • Must have experience with in-channel sales and/or marketing, particularly with SIs (System Integrators) and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors).
  • An expert storyteller through data visualization;  crafts product/feature positioning statements and messaging systems based on target audiences and insights. 
  • Proven experience with determining product-market fit, assessing the competitive landscape, and mastering the GTM strategy, including an affinity for sales enablementStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to lead, project manage and communicate cross-functionally with sales, product management, leadership, data science, PR, marketing, and other departments
  • Self-motivated and proactive, the ability to execute effectively against multiple projects and deadlines, and an ability to take initiative, influence w/out authority, anticipate needs, and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Deep Technical acumen, detailed industry knowledge, and understanding of Events/Conferences focused on the COO, CIO, and CTO buyer
  • Excellent writing and creative presentation skills, project management skills
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, charts, and pivot tables)
