Job brief:

The Data Products Leader is a key player on The Weather Company’s Product Team. The Data Products Leader is responsible for developing and delivering business value with data and cutting-edge technologies for consumer businesses. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to audiences, segmentation, addressability, identity, and proprietary advertising solutions.  The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial skillset, an ability to operate in a thriving, dynamic environment, and a working knowledge of the current digital media landscape. 

This individual is resourceful and thrives in situations where there is no playbook. They are eager to create product offerings that are not only performant for the customers but profitable for The Weather Company. 


. You translate business requirements into product requirements to ensure that the product delivers on user needs. You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to ensure alignment on the pathway forward across both internal & external stakeholders You partner with sales, marketing, operations engineering, data science/AI, legal, procurement, registration, subscription, commerce, and other teams.

The impact you'll make:

  • Responsible for overseeing the Audience practice at The Weather Company.
  • Works with lines of business to identify market demand and new opportunities.
  • Serves as the owner of the product's revenue and profit margins.
  • Deliver product adoption inside the TWC Product Suite.
  • Works with product marketing to create GTM materials and case studies for advertising adoption.
  • Respond to client RFPs for audience sizing creation, and forecasting. 
  • Lead Google Privacy Sandbox testing with SSPs.
  • Advance clean room/data collaboration platform solutions from the Alpha stage. 
  • Lead 3P Universal Identifier scale efforts.
  • Lead O/O Identity strategy, development, and delivery efforts.

What you've accomplished:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience with a proven record of successfully launching large-scale projects in B2B marketing, digital advertising, or technology industry. 
  • Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products or cross-functional projects with P&L offerings.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into ad product solutions for direct ad sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytics skills to evaluate the performance of audience products.
  • Previous experience working in ad tech tools such as Google Ad Manager, DMPs, CDPs, or DSPs.
  • Previous experience working with clean rooms/data collaboration platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing B2B technical products throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated passion for audience targeting, AI products or, data experience, tools, workflows, and/or data infrastructure.
  • Ability to effectively develop, prioritize, and articulate product roadmap across business functions.
